Father Roy is a gifted speaker and an in-demand preacher around the world. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. Since 2008, he has also been a Professor of Philosophy at Christ University in Bangalore, India. Fr. Hayden resides at the Franciscan Hermitage of Le Celle in Cortona, Italy, and ministers as an itinerant preacher of the Gospel. He holds a Bachelor's and Licentiate Degree in Sacred Theology from Malta. He speaks Maltese, English, and Italian. Following discernment and the General Minister's obedience, he is now dedicated "to prayer and to the ministry of the word." His lifestyle alternates between the hermitage for prayer and fraternal life, and preaching in various countries. Fr. Hayden evangelizes through media programs, preaches retreats, and addresses conferences for priests, religious, and laity.
